March, the first month in shanghai was super busy for me, frist week in Shanghai, 2nd week in Dublin, 3rd week back to Shanghai and last week to Beijing. Finally Dad came to join us by the end of month.

 

Our family is truly settling down in Shanghai, especially in April.

Jasmine got used to the daily commute to school, different style homework, frequently got rewarded by the class and teacher. She also won 2 golden metal in her sports conference.

Justin started to attend a preschool belonged to one of the top universities in Shanghai. The school is also famous with its art eduation, especially drawing. The only thing he does't like is that he has to take nap every afternoon.

Liying was very busy at work, but still able to take kids out to various parks to enjoy the spring and attended patchwork beginner class over the weekends.

Jeff has to commute to new campus by shuttle bus everyday too,  he already started playing soccer, tennis and swimming.

 

Family gathering and classmates reunion are continuously going on, kids started to attend regular weekend activities, such as piano, drawing, swimming is another sign we are back to normal life - not in Redmond, but in Shanghai.

 

After the May holiday, we will have to start looking for a rental house.

 

finally after days of packing, numerous farewell parties and a few days with hotel and rental cars, we are ready to go to Shanghai now.

This time mom and the kids head out first, daddy will have one week vacation in Germany, finish up his work in redmond afterwards and join us later in March.

it's really thrilling that the night before our departure, we stilll didn't get kids visa back. thanks to overnight express, we got them right before we take off.

the first flight got delayed for more than one hour, luckily we caught up in the connection in JP upon the final call for boarding.

mom watched 4 movies in total while kids really enjoyed "Bee Movie"
